Commenting lets team members add annotations directly on dashboard charts and data points. Use comments to flag insights, ask questions about specific data, or coordinate analysis with your team.
On the brand overview dashboard, click the Enable Commenting toggle in the toolbar. When active, annotation controls appear on charts and data points throughout the dashboard.
With commenting enabled:
- Click on a chart, data point, or KPI card where you want to leave a note.
- An annotation input appears at the selected location.
- Type your comment and submit it.
Your comment is attached to that specific element on the dashboard.
All annotations are visible to every team member with access to the organization. When commenting is enabled, existing annotations appear on the dashboard alongside the data they reference.
The Comments button in the platform navigation bar shows a notification indicator when there are new annotations. Click it to see a summary of recent comments across your organizations.
To edit or delete a comment, click on the annotation and use the available actions.
- Comments are scoped to the organization — only team members with access to that organization can see them.
- Toggling commenting off hides the annotation controls but preserves all existing comments. They reappear when you enable commenting again.
- Comments do not appear in external share reports.
Use comments to document why a metric changed (“Launched new campaign this week”) so your team has context when reviewing historical data.
